9716: these were the attendances at Parco Bacchelli until last Sunday.
We note that Bacchelli has risen to prominence due to a report, a legitimate one, from a person who preferred to contact the press (immediately followed by a council group), rather than reporting the issue to staff or via the email address provided on the website for all types of reports: piscina.bacchelli@acquatimessd.it.
Analyses carried out periodically by a certified laboratory attesting to complete compliance with legal parameters are available at the Piscina Bacchelli secretariat.
Staff monitor all water parameters as per normal, without doing anything extraordinary, at least every 6 hours.
Water management is in any case entrusted to electronic control units that continuously monitor and raise an alarm in the event of problems.
THERE WAS SAND IN THE POOL: indeed, there was sand in the pool due to a filter issue, which has now been resolved and rectified; however, this did not and does not affect the safety or suitability for swimming of our aquatic facility.
Therefore, any communication concerning potential health concerns for users should be avoided, even hypothetically.
It is worth remembering that the public service we are managing is an important service for the city and the community. Furthermore, the mere assumption that management is carried out carelessly and not through adequate and certified procedures is extremely damaging to the commitment of the staff who operate professionally within the facility. All of this exposes the management to both economic and reputational damage. For this reason, it would be appropriate, for everyone's sake, to verify data and sources before fanning the flames.
BATHROOM SITUATION: It is true that the bathroom situation is complex, but this is due to structural and not managerial reasons. The doubling of some discharge lines has already been planned to improve the service.
However, sometimes a little more education and civic sense would lead to fewer problems.
Let's not hide the fact that the start was complicated, that there were problems, not least the theft of 300 sun loungers and 150 umbrellas perpetrated against us on the night between Sunday and Monday, which forced us into a race against time to restore the service for the following weekend, as well as having caused tens of thousands of euros in damage.
Our group does not wish to descend into disputes of an extra-managerial (to avoid writing political) nature that do not concern us: the facility is managed, controlled, and overseen by those responsible, and the management's approach is to welcome and carefully manage every person and every complaint. Obviously, we are able to respond to those who approach us directly, while it becomes difficult to do so with those who prefer to use the press or the town council.
In that case, we can only explain what we're doing and how we're working, while still maintaining the same availability for anyone who asks for explanations and reassuring all users who are sending requests.
